G & G Market is proud to once again host the Lion Dance in celebration of the Chinese New Year.
Performed by the Redwood Empire Chinese Association (RECA), the dance is said to scare away evil spirits and bring about good luck and fortune for the Chinese New Year.
The dance commences at the entrances of both our Santa Rosa and Petaluma stores. The lions parade around G & G and end their dance by backing out of the store. Backing out of each store is said to take the evil spirits out of G & G for another year.
The dance begins this year at our Santa Rosa store on Saturday, February 11 at 1:00pm and at our Petaluma store on the same day, Saturday, February 11, at 3:00pm.
